HISTORY

1927 (Showa 2)
Kinda Shoyu Brewery Founded
1936 (Showa 11)
Founder Jutaro Sakashita passed away. The business continued, focusing on selling barrels of moromi (fermented mash).
1940 (Showa 15)
Controlled economy began (ironically, this was beneficial due to the absence of the business owner).
1950 (Showa 25)
In April, the third son, Hideo, took over the business.
That same year, the controlled economy was abolished, ushering in an era of free competition. Attention was drawn to seasonings in the budding tsukudani industry.
1953 (Showa 28)
Began producing soy sauce for tsukudani, which gained great popularity.
September 1985 (Showa 60)
Founded Kindai Seimen and joined the Shodoshima Hand-Stretched Somen Association.
April 1987 (Showa 62)
Incorporated as a company.
1990 (Heisei 2)
Withdrew from the Shodoshima Hand-Stretched Somen Association and started independent sales.
1995 (Heisei 7)
Began manufacturing "Dashi Soy Sauce," with sales handled by Kindai Seimen Co., Ltd.
2005 (Heisei 17)
Established Silver Arte Trading Co., Ltd., focusing on sales to mass retailers.
2012 (Heisei 24)
Won the Director-General of the Food Industry Affairs Bureau Award from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries in the "Light Soy Sauce" category at the National Soy Sauce Competition.
(The first top prize for Kagawa Prefecture in eight years)
2013 (Heisei 25)
Opened Daigi Ginza store and Daigi Takadanobaba store.
2022 (Reiwa 4)
Shodoshima Sakuemon Restaurant Open
2024 (Reiwa 6)
Taigi Ginza Store Permanently Closed. Taigi Takadanobaba Store Permanently Closed.
